Although cumulative exports from January to August still grew by 20.2% (reaching $31.68 billion), the industry is clearly feeling the chill of weakening demand in European and American markets.

A Guangdong-based toy exporter revealed: "New orders in July-August decreased by 60-70% YoY, mainly because European customers significantly reduced purchases."
