According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's total retail sales of consumer goods grew by 5.4% year-on-year in August, with jewelry products maintaining a leading position among discretionary goods with 7.2% growth. Cumulative data from January to August shows jewelry's 2.2% growth significantly outperformed cosmetics (-2.7%) and apparel (-4.4%) categories.
