【Global Times Report】 On March 1, 2016, the Ceylon Tea Promotion Conference hosted by the Sri Lankan Embassy in China was successfully held in Beijing. Senior officials from the Sri Lanka Tea Board met with representatives from China's commerce department, tea industry associations and brand agents to discuss development opportunities for Ceylon tea.
斯里兰卡茶叶局推广处高级主管哈西德•埃尔维斯表示："虽然斯里兰卡国土面积小，但在茶产业方面与中国有着紧密联系。中国有最好的绿茶，而斯里兰卡则出产最好的红茶。"
Senior Director of the Sri Lanka Tea Board Promotion Department Hasitha de Alwis stated: "Although Sri Lanka is a small country, it has close ties with China in the tea industry. China produces the best green tea, while Sri Lanka produces the finest black tea."

De Alwis emphasized that Sri Lanka's tea industry adheres to eco-friendly principles, avoiding fluorine-containing pesticides that harm the ozone layer. He welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in Sri Lanka and invited Chinese tourists to experience tea culture tours.
本次推介会吸引了50余家茶叶代理商和企业代表参与，双方就投资政策、商标注册等具体事宜进行了深入交流。
The conference attracted over 50 tea agents and enterprise representatives, with both sides engaging in in-depth discussions on investment policies, trademark registration and other specific matters.
