German pet food multinational animonda recently participated in the Beijing International Pet Products Exhibition. Its China CEO Yang Yiling stated: "Due to demographic changes and strong demand for pet companionship, China's pet economy is undergoing a significant transformation."

Yang emphasized: "Pet food accounted for over 60% of consumption in 2023, reaching 50.7% of the total pet market. While China's average annual spending per pet is growing yearly, it's only one-third of the U.S. level, indicating huge growth potential."
