Behind the global economic slowdown, Qingdao's foreign trade has delivered impressive results. From January to October 2024, Qingdao achieved import and export volume of 754.7 billion yuan, growing 3% on top of last year's high base; exports reached 434.62 billion yuan, a 10% year-on-year increase, 3.3 percentage points higher than the national average. This performance demonstrates the strong resilience of Qingdao as a top 10 foreign trade city.
出口结构持续优化，"新三样"表现亮眼。 机电产品占出口总额51%，增长15.7%；其中家电、集装箱、船舶出口分别增长22%、74%和68%。新能源产品出口增长48.2%，高于全国59个百分点。

Private enterprises accounted for 68.9% of import and export volume; service trade reached 140.5 billion yuan, up 38.6%, representing 45% of the province's total. Overseas revenue now accounts for "half the market" for companies like Haier and Hisense.
营商环境持续优化，开放平台成效显著。 上合示范区集聚2000余家贸易主体，青岛自贸片区形成300余项创新成果，五年外贸进出口超8000亿元，年均增速超20%。
Business environment continues to improve, open platforms achieve remarkable results. The SCO Demonstration Zone has gathered over 2,000 trade entities, while the Qingdao Free Trade Zone has formed more than 300 innovation achievements, with import and export volume exceeding 800 billion yuan in five years and an average annual growth rate of over 20%.
