Recently, an investigative video exposing illegal used clothing processing in Jieshi Town, Lufeng City, Guangdong Province has drawn widespread attention. The footage shows blood-stained and germ-infected second-hand clothes from abroad being simply refurbished and sold online as "foreign trade overstock" at high prices.
陆丰市政府新闻办15日表示，当地已对视频曝光地点进行排查，并加强监管力度。1月13日至14日，碣石镇工商部门对城乡结合部进行巡查，取缔了个别经营库存旧服装的门店。
The Lufeng Municipal Government Information Office stated on the 15th that local authorities have inspected the locations exposed in the video and strengthened supervision. From January 13 to 14, the industrial and commercial department of Jieshi Town conducted inspections in urban-rural fringe areas and shut down some stores dealing in stockpiled used clothing.
