For tea enthusiasts new to Pu-erh, those mysterious number codes like 7542 and 7572 can be perplexing. These so-called "mark numbers" actually serve as the "ID cards" of Pu-erh tea, containing crucial information about the tea's grade, production process, and origin.
一、普洱茶唛号的起源与含义
1. The Origin and Meaning of Pu-erh Mark Numbers
1976年,为规范出口,云南省茶叶公司制定了普洱茶唛号系统:
In 1976, to standardize exports, Yunnan Tea Company established the Pu-erh mark number system:
- 饼茶4位数:前两位-工艺年份,第三位-主料等级,第四位-茶厂编号
- Cake tea (4 digits): First two digits - production year, third digit - main material grade, fourth digit - factory code
- 散茶5位数:前两位-生产年份,中间两位-原料等级,末位-茶厂编号
- Loose tea (5 digits): First two digits - production year, middle two digits - material grade, last digit - factory code

1. 看包装标识
观察外包装纸、内飞等的老化程度和印刷特征,不同年代有独特标记。

早期手工压制茶饼不规则较松,现代机械压制茶饼匀整紧实。

3. 品茶汤变化
随存放时间增加,汤色变红,滋味更醇,香气更陈。

4. 查原料配比
嫩料多制沱茶散茶,中等料制饼茶,粗老料制砖茶。
