Recently, the million-follower art influencer "Yigongzi" released a video about the history of black tea's global spread, which resonated widely with netizens. The video particularly highlighted the legendary story of Wuyi black tea (Zhengshan Xiaozhong).
正山小种于十七世纪传入欧洲，被引入英国宫廷后逐渐流行开来，并风靡世界。嘉庆前期，中国出口的红茶中有85%都名为正山小种红茶，对中国外贸的贡献作用显著。
Zhengshan Xiaozhong was introduced to Europe in the 17th century. After being introduced to the British royal court, it gradually gained popularity and swept across the world. In the early Jiaqing period, 85% of China's exported black tea was named Zhengshan Xiaozhong, making significant contributions to China's foreign trade.
「正山小种」名称的由来

「正山小种」红茶一词在欧洲最早被称为武夷BOHEA，与现在所说的武夷地名谐音。由于当时贸易繁荣，为了与其他假冒的小种红茶区分开来，当地人才将其取名为「正山小种」。
The term "Zhengshan Xiaozhong" was originally called "Wuyi BOHEA" in Europe, homophonic with the current place name Wuyi. Due to the prosperous trade at that time, locals named it "Zhengshan Xiaozhong" to distinguish it from other counterfeit varieties.
「正山」指的是桐木及与桐木周边相同海拔、相同地域，采用相同传统工艺制作，品质相同，独具桂圆汤味的统称。「小种」则是指其茶树品种为小叶种，且产地地域及产量受地域的小气候所限。
"Zhengshan" refers to Tongmu and surrounding areas at the same altitude, using the same traditional production methods with consistent quality and unique longan soup flavor. "Xiaozhong" indicates that the tea plant variety is small-leaf species, with production limited by local microclimates.
