Despite soaring international logistics costs during the pandemic (up to 60% of cargo value), China's tea industry maintained export resilience. Data shows that in 2012, China produced 1.75 million tons of tea with 310,000 tons exported; by 2021, production reached 3.18 million tons with 369,400 tons exported.

2021年中国茶叶出口均价达6.23美元/千克，同比上涨6.55%，创历史新高。自2013年以来，出口均价年均复合增长率达6.63%，相继突破4美元、5美元和6美元大关。
In 2021, the average export price of Chinese tea reached $6.23/kg, a year-on-year increase of 6.55%, setting a new historical record. Since 2013, the compound annual growth rate of export prices has reached 6.63%, successively breaking through the $4, $5 and $6 thresholds.
