82岁的福鼎白茶世家"梅山派"第三代传人梅相靖激动地表示:"在有生之年能看到福鼎白茶制作技艺列入名录,是件值得骄傲的事。"

82-year-old Mei Xiangjing, the third-generation inheritor of Fuding White Tea's "Meishan School", expressed his excitement: "It's a proud moment to witness Fuding White Tea making techniques being inscribed during my lifetime."

The white tea production process is unique: "70% depends on sun-drying, 30% on baking". Only through four key steps - touching, observing, smelling and tasting - can a perfect cup of tea be made. Tanyang Gongfu Tea was created in the late Qing Dynasty and won gold at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Inheritor Zheng Peiming noted: "Some black tea production processes can't be described in words, they must be learned through hands-on experience."
