The global toy industry landscape is being reshaped, as China's toy capital Chenghai achieves industrial upgrading through technological innovation amid declining exports.
作为世界第一大玩具生产国，中国玩具出口在2022年之前保持稳步增长，但去年下降了7.4%，降至2858亿元人民币（约合400亿美元）。劳动力成本上升和中美贸易摩擦促使部分进口国转向其他供应商。
As the world's largest toy producer, China's toy exports maintained steady growth before 2022, but fell by 7.4% last year to 285.8 billion yuan (about $40 billion). Rising labor costs and Sino-US trade frictions have prompted some importing countries to turn to other suppliers.
广东澄海拥有数万家玩具企业，超过10万从业人员，占全球塑料玩具生产能力的约三分之一。面对挑战，当地企业正积极拥抱高科技生产和人工智能等变革。
Chenghai in Guangdong has tens of thousands of toy companies with over 100,000 employees, accounting for about one-third of global plastic toy production capacity. Facing challenges, local companies are actively embracing high-tech production and innovations like artificial intelligence.

汕头市澄海玩具协会副会长兼秘书长张振强表示："玩具是孩子健康成长必需的。虽然面临挑战，但行业在发展，青年企业家正积极创新。"
Zhang Zhenqiang, vice president and secretary-general of Shantou Chenghai Toy Association, said: "Toys are essential for children's healthy growth. Although facing challenges, the industry is developing and young entrepreneurs are actively innovating."
