Seizing RCEP Opportunities: Wuzhou's Liubao Tea Expands into Malaysia and Singapore Markets

梧州日报4月4日报道 - 在李家庄码头海关监管场区，海关人员正在对出口六堡茶进行严格检验，确保包装、品质和食品安全符合标准。检验合格后，海关将出具熏蒸证书和卫生证书，助力企业顺利通关并发往马来西亚。据悉，这已是今年第4批出口六堡茶订单。

April 4th, Wuzhou Daily Report - At the customs supervision area of Lijiazhuang Wharf, inspectors are rigorously examining exported Liubao tea to ensure packaging, quality, and food safety meet standards. Upon approval, customs will issue fumigation and hygiene certificates to facilitate smooth customs clearance for shipment to Malaysia. This marks the 4th Liubao tea export order this year.

梧州中茶茶业有限公司总经理张均伟表示："随着《出口六堡茶加工规范》《六堡茶出口规范》等标准的制定，六堡茶的出口条件更加成熟。在政策支持下，我们的原料种植、加工生产等环节越来越规范，产品深受马来西亚、新加坡等国家的喜爱。公司将进一步拓展东盟市场，打造品牌，做大做强六堡茶产业。"

Zhang Junwei, General Manager of Wuzhou Zhongcha Tea Co., Ltd., stated: "With the formulation of standards like the 'Liubao Tea Export Processing Specifications' and 'Liubao Tea Export Standards', export conditions have matured. Supported by policies, our processes from raw material cultivation to processing have become more standardized. Our products are well-received in Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries. We will further expand into ASEAN markets, build our brand, and grow the Liubao tea industry."

RCEP Boosts Wuzhou's Diversified Foreign Trade

近年来，梧州市抓住RCEP协议生效契机，深化与东盟国家的贸易往来，不断开拓马来西亚、新加坡等市场。目前，梧州对东盟国家出口商品结构呈多元化分布，六堡茶、八角、香料、松香等产品深受马来西亚、新加坡青睐。

In recent years, Wuzhou City has seized the opportunity of RCEP's implementation to deepen trade with ASEAN countries, continuously expanding into markets like Malaysia and Singapore. Currently, Wuzhou's exports to ASEAN countries show diversified structures, with Liubao tea, star anise, spices, and rosin being particularly popular in Malaysia and Singapore.

为深化贸易合作，梧州市积极组织外贸企业"抱团出海"，先后在7个东盟国家举办推介会、交易会等活动。2022年12月，梧州茶企与马来西亚"一带一路"委员会线上签约；2023年1月，梧州经济技术开发区赴马来西亚和新加坡开展经贸交流；2023年4月，市委书记蒋连生率团出访两国，举办六堡茶文化交流活动，拓宽海外销售渠道。

To deepen trade cooperation, Wuzhou has actively organized foreign trade enterprises to "go global collectively", hosting promotion fairs and trade meetings in 7 ASEAN countries. In December 2022, Wuzhou tea companies signed online agreements with Malaysia's Belt and Road Committee; in January 2023, Wuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone conducted economic exchanges in Malaysia and Singapore; in April 2023, Party Secretary Jiang Liansheng led a delegation to both countries for Liubao tea cultural exchange activities, expanding overseas sales channels.

外贸数据显著增长

Significant Growth in Foreign Trade Data

2022年，梧州与马来西亚外贸进出口额达18.5亿元，同比增长99.2%；与新加坡外贸进出口额2.4亿元，同比增长394.1%。梧州还充分发挥再生资源国家级外贸转型升级基地优势，大规模从马来西亚、新加坡进口再生金属，带动外贸进口值大幅增长。

In 2022, Wuzhou's foreign trade with Malaysia reached 1.85 billion yuan, a 99.2% year-on-year increase; with Singapore it was 240 million yuan, up 394.1%. Wuzhou has also leveraged its national-level foreign trade transformation base for renewable resources, importing large quantities of recycled metals from Malaysia and Singapore, significantly boosting import values.
