The New York State Office of Addiction Supports and Services assists communities across the state in every facet of addiction prevention, recovery, and outreach. Public awareness and education is a central part of that mission. Together, we worked to address the misconceptions that cause stigma around Substance Use Disorders and educate about the negative effect stigma has on recovery.
