There's a lot to like about Android, from its open nature to the wide range of devices that can run it, including your refrigerator, TV, and E Ink e-reader. It's a versatile OS, and with that versatility comes plenty of features that many may not know about. Did you know you can use your spacebar to move the cursor on the screen more accurately? Things like more prominent titles and dynamic color theming made the cut, though these aren't huge changes, admittedly. So, have you noticed this change? Have you ever wanted an e-reader that fits in your pocket?
It feels like the trend right now is for 7-inch e-readers, which I do feel is a fine size for reading novels. Then again, I've always wanted an E Ink phone, and Boox's Palma came mightily close despite no cellular connection. Overall, I love how it fits in my pocket to bring it anywhere, which I can't really do with my Kindle Paperwhite. Am I alone here in my love for small e-readers? What about you? Have you ever wanted an e-reader that's small enough for your pocket?
The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are exactly the same size and fit the same cases
Google announced its newest phones at a hardware event in Mountain View today: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are all up for pre-order right now. Small-phone fans (myself included) are excited that, for the first time, Google's offering its Pro phone in two sizes, the smaller of which is the same size as the regular Pixel 9. And I do mean the same size — the Pixel 9 and the (non-XL) Pixel 9 Pro share identical dimensions, right down to the size and shape of the camera bar. Google's offering a single protective case that fits both devices, in colors made to match both models. The larger 9 Pro XL case misses out on Wintergreen and Peony colorways. It's a small detail, but it seems like a win; cases meant for either phone will fit both, which should make for more options for users. All the more reason to grab a small Pixel this year.

Let's face it, Gmail is showing its age, from lackluster search to delayed notifications. While I haven't fully moved away from Gmail yet, the day is coming as I test alternatives. For now, I'm pretty happy with Proton Mail, but there are certainly more options to check out. Some prefer Outlook, and Fastmail deserves a mention.
